I occasionally get this message for any file I try to tag to edit existing tags. All files are located on the main disk. The problem goes away when the machine is restarted.

Hi,

this is rather strange, I will have a look into this. Thanks for the bug report.

Best regards,
Martin

I have the same problem on Vista. Have some screenshots if you need them.

Hi I am new to Tag2find but I am suddenly getting this same error all the time as well.

Using vista 32bit with Net 3.5 not sure why I am getting it and more importantly what to do as if I can't tag what is the point of having the programme?

Thanks

Sj.

I've just installed tag2find and get the same error message reported above. The 1st time I start tag2find after installation everything works smoothly: I can ad tags and save them. On all subsequent occassions I can ad tags but the "error 3" messages occurs when I try to save changes. I'm using Vista home edition and have tried running tag2find as administrator and disabling UAC, to no effect. Has this issue been solved for others?

I am getting this same problem on Windows 7.  No matter what file I try to tag, it gives me this exact error message.  It's a real shame because I'd love to be able to tag my files.

Could you provide some more information about your system please? I know this error only if there is a FAT/FAT32 or a mapped (network) drive involved, as well as some encryption products that are using shell extensions instead of virtual drives.

Best regards,
Martin

There's really nothing special about my system.  I don't have any virtual drives or encryption software or anything like that.  I'm just running straight-up Windows 7 Professional on my Dell Laptop.  I can't tag a single file...I always get that error message.  I even created a new folder and set the permissions to Everyone->Full Control and I still couldn't tag any files in that folder.
