I have a number of entries in the Tag2Find database that somehow got out-of-sync. That is, the location stored in the db is not the current location of the file. For one tag, two files are listed: one exists (in the filesystem) and one doesn't. How can I get rid of the entry for the nonexistent file?

This happened once previous; at that time I deleted the db and started over. Unfortunately I cannot find a way to have the application import the files already tagged or check the integrity of the database. Is this possible?

Hi,

add the files to an edit tab and right click them and choose "Check database" from the context menu. This should fix it.

Best regards,
Martin

This *seems* to work, but how do I make the changes persist.  The database check is successful, but searches still don't work and the cloud/list viewers aren't updated.  If I restart the browser, the db still shows up as out of synch.  Do I need to ...... nevermind.  I answered my question as I wrote it.

FYI you need to restart the tag2find service after you resynch the database.  Hope this helps someone!

Hi,

sorry for the late response. Thanks for the bug report. What you tell here should not happen, you should not need to restart the service... I've submitted a bug report to our tracker. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
Martin
