I really like the idea of this program and this it has great potential. I have a problem though and it's probably an easy fix. I tagged some sound files on my desktop and then decieded that I wanted to move them to my sound clip folder. After I moved them, I tried to delete the now broken links off of t2f but cannot find a way to delete them. How do I get rid of these broken links? Thanks.

Hi,

tag2find should automatically update files if they are moved. The UI however will not be updated until you perform a new search or press the "Refresh" button.

If this is not happening, please tell me (together with the information I asked you in your second topic)! You could also try a restart to see if the issue is resolved then.

If tracking failes, you can get rid of wrong entry by submitting the file in question to the "Edit Tags" tab and use "Check Database for Files" from the context menu. You should be able to do the same to restore tags from files you know that you are tagged but where tag2find missed the file movement.

Anyhow, we are still working on improving the file tracking algorithm as we got reports for problems with some anti-virus programs.

Thanks for your feedback!

Best regards,
Martin

I did try a new search and it had the file name but the size was 0kb. After a restart it did find the files automatically. Thanks for your help. I will test other areas more throughly before wimping out and posting.

Hi,

thanks for your follow-up here. The information that a restart solved the problem is very valuable. We will look into this.

Best regards,
Martin
