I have found tag2find very useful. Keep up the great work. I have been using Picasa to mange how I organize my photos, but was looking for something a bit more broader (i.e. more than just photos). I have spent a great deal of time defining photo albums in Picasa by categorizing each photo by place, event, and people in the photo. So, when I want to find all photos John Smith is in, I simply click on the photo album called Smith, John. In doing this I have created over 800 photo albums (labels) amongst thousands of photo files. But I want to take this to another level... I want all documentation related to John Smith to appear too. And, out comes tag2find which will do just that. However, I am not about to manually re-associate all those photos again. NO WAY. So, as a fun project, which amazingly only took me one evening to write, I created a tool that will create xml files that contain tags with their associated images, as defined in Picasa, that you can import into tag2find (using tag2find's own Import function). I have not heard a huge cry for such a tool, but it would be nice to be able to import tags and their associations from other applications. You can make use of this tool by downloading it here... http://clsturgeon.googlepages.com/Picasa2tag2find.zip I have not yet imported all 800+ photo album tags, but so far so good on the ones I have done. It is free to use---Enjoy and I hope folks find it useful. To the tag2find team, keep up the great work and keep us informed of new stuff--which I see you are doing with new videos. Thanks.
