I just installed the program a few hours ago after reading the hype on the web site.
The tagging idea sounds revolutionary but ought to be developed further before launching it as a Beta.

1) A wizard to assist new users would be good.

2) Having decided what folders & contents to tag I couldn't get any further - the intuitive suggestions hinted at on the web site were absent as was the necessary dialogue to create new tags - it may be cunningly hidden of course.

3) The processing speed is abysmal and effectively locks you out of everything else.

It was not a gripping start but I'll hang on in and see if it reveals a better side!

Hi,

thank you for your honest feedback. We are aware of some of the issues. Please keep in mind that you are using a very early "Technical Preview" version which just demonstrates the concepts, but is far from being optimal from a user interface point of view. We are currently working hard on a new version addressing several of the issues you are mentioning. You might look at the latest articles on our blog (http://blog.tag2find.com/ (http://blog.tag2find.com/)) and the related page on our website (http://www.tag2find.com/nextgeneration.html (http://www.tag2find.com/nextgeneration.html), but you need Firefox to see the video without problem, we will fix this shortly.)

Regarding your point 2, you might have a look at http://www.tag2find.com/howtotag.html (http://www.tag2find.com/howtotag.html) and related pages. You create new tags by simply using them in the tagging process. Tags exists as long as they are being used on some file.

Regarding your point 3, which operations exactly are so bad regarding performance? We know that drag & drop of a lots of files is at the moment very bad regarding performance (the Next Generation will be a lots of better in this regard).

Once again, thank you for your feedback, we are always looking forward to hearing what our users think.

Best regards,
Martin
