Launchy integration

Hi all,
thanks for making a great, very useful piece of software. I love it.

Now, my suggestion might be counter-intuitive to your vision, if so just ignore. However, do you know the app, Launchy (http://www.launchy.net/), which not only helps launch programs, but is also capable of searching files and many other neat things?

My idea is to integrate tag2find with Launchy, so that when you write a tag into Launchy, it will give a list of all the files with the tag. It would make for a very smooth interface with files, but might run counter to your tag box.

Anyways, looking forward to second generation of tag2find!

Hi,

yes, I know Launchy, I am using it myself. I see where you are pointing at and I could see a synergy there. Tagging would still have to be done in tag2find, but the searching could also be integrated in Launchy. We will investigate this further. I can not make a promise if this is a strategy option for us, we will have to discuss this. I will come back to this next week after our weekly meeting.

PS: at the latest, when we are going to publish an API there will be someone who has time to write a Launchy add-in, I suppose

Launchy isn't the only launcher around. I use Find and Run Robot and it would be useful too. Looking forward to the API.
