Hi!
While the post title is pretty explicit, I'll explain why I think it might be a user friendly feature — nothing fundamental though.
If I attach a USB device (generally a HD, to make a backup or whatever...), the tag2find service will lock the device and will not let it got unless I stop the service manually through the Microsoft Management Console. Of course, it's not that hard to find the right service in the list, stop it and restart it later, but for less geeky people out there, maybe it could be just an option in the menu provided by the tray icon -- a tool tip could even explain why one would turn the service on or off. There could even be different timing option like "Stop the service for 1min -- 5min -- 10min -- etc." or "Stop the service completely -- manual restart"
Or, if that's not a convenient enough solution, there could be an added "something" (I have no idea what...) to keep the service from impeding the ejection of removable devices?
I don't know...
Anyway, keep on the great work. I can't wait to try tag2find "next generation"!
(and... thanks for adding the new feature for selecting file extensions in the wizard – I think it’s very helpful

)
