I would like to quickly open a folder eg. "my documents", is it possible to tag the folder itself so I can open an explorer window from tag2find?

Not yet, but you have a at least three strong supporters for this feature in our own development team. I suppose, it will be implemented in the future.

Best regards,
Martin

A less than ideal solution to this is shortcuts. Make a shortcut to your document and then you can tag that. If you guys can't get tagging of folders to work directly, perhaps you could have shortcuts automatically generated in a hidden folder when users try to tag a folder?

Hi,
thanks for the suggestion. We will evaluate this. The problem is that tagging folders requires some changes in the internal structure of tag2find. But we are on it, I am quite confident there will be a solution.

Best regards,
Martin

I have been looking for a program implements this feature for a month. I want to categorize my movies. For example, a unique copy of movie will have multiple tags and I'll find this movie in different directories. i.e. "top250", "tarantino", "pacino", "comedy", "modern".

If this feature allows to create virtual folders or smart folders based on tags attached to the folders - not files-, it will be possible to implement virtual directory features currently exists in Mac and possibly will be exist in newer Windows releases with our atom ant.

Thanks for your efforts on this software, I'll be waiting for this feature.
