As many people do, I operate in a Wintel environment at work, and on a Mac at home, and I store some shared files on a webhost as well.
It would be great to have tags that were usable across all those platforms---even if you don't have a Tag2Find client for other OSs, if the tags are in a place/form that's searchable by a good search tool on the other platform(s), that would be very helpful indeed.
Similarly, if one could tag a file on the other platforms and be able to find it on Windows using T2F, that would be excellent.

I'm probably asking for the moon, though.

Hi Benjaloo,

we are open to any suggestions regarding this issue. While we are concentrating on the Windows platform at the moment, we still want to provide support for other OS as much as is possible for us. At the moment there is no "common" way to store tags for different search engines, many of them do not support tags at all. Besides images (JPEG EXIF) and music (ID3 tags) most file formats do not support storing tags inside the document itself.

We will try to provide some basic support for search engines as development continues. I cannot however promise how much "cross-platform" this support can be. But be ensured, we will try our best. Wink

Best regards,
Martin
