Do the following to provoke a minor bug, which is slightly irritating:

Step1 (ok): click on the input field of "tag2find toolbar" and the "Result preview" pops up, displaying the "all tags" list.

Step2 (ok): double click on a valid tag (e.g. "notiz") to display the names of tagged files and a list of "related tags" - in the input field, a comma is automatically appended to the selected tag (e.g. "notiz,")

Step3 (incidently): click on the input field of "tag2find toolbar" to set the cursor somewhere LEFT OF the just added comma (e.g. cursor on first character of "notiz,")

Step4 - close the pop up by giving focus to another window

Step5 (bug): activate "Result preview" popup again by clicking into "tag2find toolbar"s input field (still containing the selected tag "notiz,"). The correct tagged files list is displayed again -- but the "related tags" list remains empty.

Step6 - click to set cursor behind the comma, then close the pop up again

Step7 (ok): activate "Result preview" as you did in step 5: now the "related tags" list displays correctly.

By the way:

- I did not experience any problems with the newly installed version (neither awaking from hibernation nor from standby)

- In "Result preview" popup: why do I have to double click to ADD a tag, while a single click is enough to REMOVE a tag?

Yours

Oooops - while typing the previous comment, the "Update DB" pop up stole my focus :-(  Had to do it all again...

Hi,

wow, what a very superb feedback, we'd never found this bug!

And also a great thank you for telling us about the vanished hibernation bug. We could never reproduce it on our computers therefore we had to fix the issue "in the blind", which was not to easy because it was working around Microsoft's and not our internal code Wink

Sorry for the inconvenience with the "Update DB" notification. It should not steel the focus when displayed but even this seems broken. Due to the high amount of complaints about it we will remove it in the next release and replace it with something less obtrusive (I like your idea of using the notification icon, which you mentioned in another thread).

In the meantime I can suggest you deactivate the notification in the options on the "Advanced" tab by un-checking the "Notify on busy service" setting.

Again, thank you very much for your very valuable insights! Hope to read more from you.

Best regards & a nice weekend,
Martin

Hi,
awaking from hibernation worked well on my windows system - but be careful: I cannot tell whether any previous version would have had a problem. I'm lucky the actual version is running that stable, and I'm really not keen on installing an obselete tag2find version to find out if it crashes...

Thanks roger, it's really good to know that it is running stable for you!

Best regards,
Martin
