Missing drive letter with external NTFS drive

I've got some tagged files on an external NTFS formatted drive.
Now everytime I restart my PC, or remove and plug the drive in again, tag2find only lists the pathnames without the drive letter, and therefore of course can't find the files. for example:

folder/file.jpg
instead of
G:/folder/file.jpg

After I restart the tag2find service, everything works fine again.
