[v0.10] Tags and Microsoft Office?
«

Hi everyone,
we got a report that when a tagged Microsoft Word document is edited and saved, all tags are deleted for the file.
Can anyone confirm this or tell us if it is working? Either way, an important information would be which Windows version (XP, Vista) you are using.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards,
Martin

Hi i am running, XP.
I right clicked on a word file to and selected edit tags to confirm tags.
Closed the window
Opened the word doc
made a minor edit and saved
right click confirmed the tags were still there.
How ever,
If I change the file name the tags are lost. Would be nice if Save As (when creating a new version) copied the tags (perhaps with associated set up option?

Hi,
thanks for the feedback. I think the rename problem seems to be the issue we were discussing in another thread where the file tracking itself seems to be not working for your setup. I'm still investigating this.
When using "Save as", this requires us to write an Office Add-In, as Word creates a completely new file in this case and there is no relation between the two files (from the point of the filesystem).
Best regards,
Martin
